Load-handling equipment support

Find tail-lift and vehicle hydraulic specialists at your depot or delivery point.

A failed platform can strand a load even when the vehicle is driveable. Share the equipment make, serial plate, position, load status and any leak or electrical symptoms.

When this service may help

  • Platform stuck raised or lowered
  • Hydraulic oil leak
  • Pump runs but equipment will not move
  • Controls or interlocks not responding

Secure people and the load

Keep clear of suspended or unsupported equipment. Isolate it in line with the operating instructions and prevent unauthorised use until repaired.

Identify equipment separately

The tail-lift or hydraulic equipment may have a different manufacturer from the vehicle. A clear data-plate photo helps source parts and documentation.

Frequently asked questions

Can a loaded tail lift be repaired on site?

The provider must first make the load and platform safe. Additional lifting or handling equipment may be needed.

Do providers issue LOLER reports?

Only providers offering the relevant competent examination service should do so. A repair visit is not automatically a thorough examination.
